We will be hiking up to the to the Department of Geography and Geoinformation, University of Salzburg mountain research station Sameralm on the morning of September 25. The station is located on a south-facing slope at an elevation of 1510 metres above sea level (asl).

We will return to the starting point in the Werfenweng area at 3:30 pm on September 26. The trail up to the station is a mountain trail and therefore you should bring appropriate footwear.

Natural spring water is available both inside and directly outside the station.

Planned Activities:
(subject to change due to weather)

During the hike up:
You will make observations related to alpine geomorphology.

In the afternoon of the the 25th:
You will conduct lichenometric investigations in high alpine regions.

On the morning of the 26th:
The group will examine the impact of tourism and alpine farming on the landscape.
