The Indian Business Landscape
By a combination of geocomputation, geovisualization and volunteered geographic information, we pretend to develop and contribute for a better planning and decision making on location of small and medium sized businesses in India. Taking advantage of geostatistics and spatial analysis techniques, our objectives are: (i) create a spatial database of the location of Indian business in a WebGIS interface, (ii) elaborate geostatistical analysis to understand underlying patterns of existence of business hubs in India, and their relation to urban areas and commutes, (iii) use Volunteered-geographic information and crowd sourced data to establish a definition for the modern business landscape in India, as well as to contribute to a better understanding of the locational strategy of businesses in India.
